This has been an exiting week for our family. Scott started work as an independent contractor for a chiropractic office in Burley called Hanson Chiropractic and Neurology. And I started work as his receptionist - hopefully just for a short time seeing as we have a new baby arriving in 12 weeks. We feel so lucky to have been given this opportunity, especially at a time when jobs are scarce.
We will be working the off-hours when Dr. Hanson is out of the office. Our schedule is a little crazy, with us working 6 days a week, including evenings and weekends - but the hours aren't long. We are hoping we'll be able to accommodate those who work weekdays and kids who are in school or sports during regular business hours. There aren't any other chiropractors who offer evening or weekend hours, so we're hoping that will be our niche. We're pretty accustomed to working crazy hours with the schedule I held in Dallas.
We are so grateful to have family so close to us here. Grandpa and Grandma are able to watch Madeline some of the time, and my sister-in-law will have her the rest. Madeline seems to be adjusting well. She asked me last night if grandma and grandpa would put her to bed again. When I replied that they would, she said,"Grandma sings me silly songs. I love it when they put me to bed!" I hate to leave her so often, but am glad she is with people who love her and take good care of her. I'm trying to plan fun activities for her and I to do when I'm home so we can make the best of our time together. Any ideas?
We've already seen some patients this week, and hope this endeavor will be fruitful and long-lasting.

I'm glad to hear it's going well so far. I was telling Brad that I don't think I would have had the energy to do what you're doing when I was pregnant. Way to step up to the plate! You've been in our thoughts and prayers. Let me know if you are ever in a pinch and I'll come out and watch Madeline. Good luck!
