Quilt

I had this REALLY great idea a few months ago in the dead of the winter when I was bored out of my mind. I thought making a quilt for our baby would be a good way to pass my time. And it was, the two times I worked on it during the winter. Then life got crazy. And the quilt sat it it's bag. And I felt guilty about it.

So, I did what any smart woman would do - I enlisted the help of my mom. For some reason, just being in their home makes me more motivated to get things done. I took Madeline with me to Logan on Sunday morning, and stayed for a couple of days. Madeline's actually spending the week there again because my sister-in-law/babysitter is in Hawaii.

Within the first few hours of being there, the entire quilt top was finished. Is it bound together and actually quilted? Well, no. My sister has kindly offered to finish it for me with her expert quilter mother-in-law. But, I'm pretty proud of it so far. I like the retro look and the bright colors. I like that I don't feel guilty about it anymore.
