We have hit a major milestone. Madeline now has enough hair to wear alligator clip bows. Not everyone may agree with the designation of this as a milestone, but it is to me.

When I found out I was going to have a baby girl, one of the first things I thought about was all of the cute bows I would put in her hair. You may need a little background on my childhood to fully appreciate where I'm coming from. I learned how to braid my cabbage patch doll's hair at the age of 3. I did my own hair everyday from about first grade on. I would go to school early in elementary school so I could do my friends' hair before school. I guess I was passionate/slightly obsessed with hair. So... I bought cute little clips and ribbon for my unborn child because I was sure she would come into this world with a full head of black hair, like I did. I thought I'd be putting clips in her hair from day 1. Imagine my surprise when this is what I saw...

I thought,
this can't possibly be my baby! Where is all of her hair? I have to say, though, that she was still the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. I'm looking forward to the days of curlers, ponytails, and braids. But for now, we're pretty exited about the alligator clips.

My babies still have no hair on top. They are getting some curliques around their ears. I was a lot like you as a child, but I had 3 little sisters to practice on, then I went to beauty school. By the time I had daughters, I had overcome my need to play with others' scalps
So funny! I am glad I haven't had to say that phrase yet, knock on wood. She looks so cute...and I love the clip! I think Mack took all of the hair, sorry about that Madeline. I'm also loving the low-riding pants, nothing like showing a little diaper huh? I guess babies are lucky we think it's cute until their about 5. Miss you guys!
