Here's what's going on with this big boy of a baby:
21 lbs.
? height - our new dr doesn't seem to bother with the trivial.
- I love his sense of humor. He laughs and laughs when I put the wrong end of his binky in my mouth. He giggles when I tuck him in under Madeline's covers as we put her to bed at night. He laughs whenever Madeline does something crazy, which is, like, all of the time.
- He's decided rolling on the floor is kind of fun, although he still needs a little push sometimes. He scoots backwards while he cries in frustration. No real mobility yet, though.
- He has himself a sweet tooth. Madeline remarked one day, "He's just like Grandpa Serr. All he wants to eat are cookies and ice cream!" Sadly, it's not completely false. He loves his morning oatmeal, of course with a dollop of brown sugar. After that it's hit or miss. Sometimes he wants baby food, sometimes only table food, sometimes he wants to be fed, other times he wants to pick up the pieces himself. I just realized this week, that of course he doesn't eat as much as Madeline did at this age - he doesn't move! Just trying to be chill about the whole thing.
- He loves to talk to daddy on the phone when he's at work. He grins really big, an then turns the phone over in his hands as if to figure out how on earth his dad is in the phone.
- He's gotten two teeth, scarlet fever, and an ear infection refractory to antibiotics in the last 3 months. He doesn't sleep when he doesn't feel well and is in pain. We've spent MANY a night together rocking, nursing, patting, and bouncing. We've both been pretty exhausted lately, but somehow I don't mind too much.
Gosh, I love this guy.
